Mariah Carey: Is It Over? (All I Want For Christmas) (VIDEO)

I have loved Mariah Carey since her 'Sweet Destiny' days, even though I was a little girl back then. Mariah hasn't been releasing music as of late and I was pleasantly surprised to see that she returned to do her classic cover of 'All I Want For Christmas' for ABC's tree lighting. I am sorry but Mariah needs to let it go, ABC knows she did a sound check and probably didn't have the heart to tell her that her vocals sounded like someone in their shower, not a 20 year diva! They should have either played the song or turned her mic down. They definitely should have never allowed the microphone recording of her singing leak. First Nick Cannon and now this, Mariah seems to be teetering closer and closer to the end of her career. Why is it so hard for these stars to just let it go once they have lost the quality that gave them their luster? For Mariah, it has and always will be her voice. She sounded like a wounded animal trying to hit notes that she flawlessly executed 10 or 20 years ago. It just isn't there. Overall, I was embarrassed for her, she really should start thinking about vocal coaching or starting a clothes line or accessory brand.
