Wed., Mar. 2, 6-11 p.m.: Homebrewer Appreciation Night, hosted by Fermentologists & TRVE at TRVE Brewing (227 Broadway #101, Denver).
TRVE Brewing started out as homebrewers and as such want to give back to the homebrew community. On March 2, our club has partnered up with them to host a homebrewer’s night at the brewery.
Join us to have a few beers, hang out with other homebrewers, and take home some FREE bottles. Just buy two pints during the event and Trve will send you home with a CASE of either 12 oz. or 750ml empty bottles.
This is a great opportunity to talk to other brewers and enjoy some great beer, plus bring home some brand new empty bottles.
(Do not bring homebrew to share, it’s illegal for public events).
Sat., Mar. 5, 10 a.m.-12 p.m.: Work From Home Beer Breakfast at Cerebral Brewing (1477 Monroe St., Denver).
We added 165 pounds of Vermont maple syrup and 10 gallons of cold-brewed Sweet Bloom coffee to our Robust American Porter, Nightglow, to create Work From Home. The result is a 9.0% Imperial Breakfast Porter teeming with lush notes of baker’s chocolate, coffee, and a slightly sweet maple finish. It’s the perfect beverage to start your day, providing you’re not going into work.
Come celebrate its release by joining us for a beer breakfast including waffles and bacon provided by Waffle Brothers! We’ll have cartoons on the big screen and highly encourage wearing your favorite pajamas.
Each ticket includes a screen-printed glass mug, a 10oz pour of Work From Home, a waffle and a side of bacon. Additional pours of Work From Home will be available for $5.

Sat., Mar. 5, 12-5 p.m.: 14th Annual Boulder Strong Ale Fest at Avery Brewing (4910 Nautilus Ct. N, Boulder).
Please join us for our 14th annual ode to strong ales! Boulder Strong Ale Fest features epic brews from craft breweries around the country, bringing the beers of brawn and this king of categories to one holding pen for your pleasure. To make it into this fest, a beer must be 8% ABV or higher and represent something very special from the heart and soul of its creator.
Tickets are $50 each and all proceeds benefit G.O.A.L.S. – Get Outside And Learn Something. Each ticket includes 16 pours and a commemorative glass. Food will be available for purchase. Because this event is for charity, there are no discounted designated driver tickets and no refunds. This is a 21+ event—please leave your children and dog-children at home.

Sat., Mar. 5, 6 p.m.: Suds for SIDS Beer Fest at Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum (7711 E. Academy Blvd., Denver).
The 4th annual SUDS for SIDS Beer Festival and fundraiser is taking place on March 5th from 6-10 PM at the Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum. Join CAUTION: Brewery and many more of your favorite local breweries, as we help raise money and awareness for the Angel Eyes “Child Loss Awareness Program.” Tickets include unlimited tasting, beer style appetizers as well as non-alcoholic beverages (for our DD). In the fall of 2013, Spirit Hound’s inaugural whiskey wash was cooked at Upslope. Remember the flood that year? This beer was aged in the whiskey barrels that survived the swim. The result? Only six barrels of beer.

Mon., Mar. 14, 7 p.m.: Celebrate Pi / Pie Day for Beer Geeks at Upslope at Upslope Brewing Co. ( 1898 S. Flatiron Ct., Boulder).
The Greek symbol Pi is used around the word to represent a constant – the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter which is approximately 3.14159. Pi Day is celebrated on March 14th (3/14) and we’re celebrating it with our friends at Upslope by creating a craft beer and pie pairing.
We’re also following the pairing with a beer geek trivia session. Questions are created by Upslope Brewers, and friends/members of Barley’s Angels with fun prizes. Tickets for this event is $15 which includes 3 beer and pie pairings, craft beer education and service charges.

Collaboration Fest is back, and is entering its third year in 2016! Sun., Mar. 20, 1-4 p.m.: Beer & Cheese Pairing at Ratio Beerworks (2920 Larimer St, Denver).
Join us at Ratio Beerworks for a 4 course cheese and beer pairing on March 20th. Amy Combs, aka A Cheese Peddler, will walk attendees through the featured cheeses and why she chose to pair them with each beer. Ratio Beerworks will also describe why each beer pairs so well with each cheese selection.
Tickets are available for $15 in the taproom at the bar and we will be accepting walk-ins throughout the afternoon so no need to worry about getting here right on time.

Mon., Mar. 21, 8-10 p.m.: Black Project Homebrew Hob-Nob, hosted by Fermentologists, at Former Future Brewing Co. (1290 S. Broadway, Denver).
Join us at Former Future on March 21 2016, where Black Project Spontaneous Brewmaster, James Howat, will teach us how to make a coolship and how to apply what we’ve learned at the homebrew level. Ticket includes two 10 oz pours of beer and admission. At the March 21st event, James will discuss how to build a Coolship (Koelschip) on the homebrew level (5-10 gallons). This event will focus on the science and math needed to accurately calculate the required volume needed to create a proper spontaneous fermented beer. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions and tour the brewery.
Tue., Mar. 22, 6 p.m.: Women’s Only Craft Beer Classes Part 3 of 3 at Factotum Brewhouse (3845 Lipan St., Denver).
We’ve talked about the common styles of craft beer and their history. We’ve started to define our personal palates, and now it is time to have soem fun with this knowledge and start pairing it with delicious food!
In this third class we will learn that wine is not the only acceptable beverage to pair with food and we will explore some of these pairings and suggested ways to cook with craft beer as well. Additionally, we will be learning about women in the craft beer industry and ways to get involved if one is interested.
All three of these courses are designed just for women (by women), who are interested in learning more about craft beer. Join us for these low key, friendly, no pressure, and FUN sessions.
All classes taught by a female in the industry. All classes include multiple tastings of the subject matter and snacks. All classes allow for plenty of networking and meet and greet time.

Love beer and food? So do we, but the science behind why we find certain pairings so satisfying isn’t clear. Sign up to be a part of a pilot taste test led by Dr. Nicole Garneau, Museum curator and taste expert, and her partners from the American Society of Brewing Chemists (ASBC), the Brewer’s Association, and Cicerone. You and your fellow beer nerds, citizen scientists, and foodies participate in tastings designed by the Museum’s culinary team and in return, give feedback on your experience to inform future scientific studies.
Following the tasting, hear the voting results and what it might mean about the science of taste. Includes beer tastings, hors d’oeuvres, and admission to Chocolate: The Exhibition.
We are conducting a taste test, so please plan ahead and try not to eat or drink anything but water for 2 hours before your tasting and voting session.

Each month TCO brings in a different Colorado brewery for a 4 course paired beer brunch. In March Denver Beer Co. will be teaming up with Chef Rich Byers to create a menu perfect for some morning imbibing. The March Brewer’s Brunch with Denver Beer Company will take place on March 26, 2016 starting at 11:30 a.m. Perfect way to celebrate the end of another great Colorado Craft Beer Week. Tickets are on sale now for $40.
Sat., Mar. 26, 2-6 p.m.: 4th Annual Western CO Craft Beer Celebration at Edgewater Brewery (905 Struthers Ave., Grand Junction).
Shake off those winter blues and join us at the Western CO Craft Beer Celebration! This is a fundraiser for the Colorado Brewers Guild held on the lawn at our production facility, Edgewater and will feature over 10 Western Slope breweries.
Tickets are $20 +tax and include a glass and unlimited samples. Tickets go on sale March 1st and are available for purchase (cash or credit card) at either of our locations in Grand Junction. We are selling a limited number of tickets, and last year we did sell out, so we’d recommend buying your ticket early!
Gates will open at 2pm and we’ll have live music by local favorite Retrospectacle . Our kitchen box will be open (walk up service for food and cocktails) along with our main kitchen.

Sat., Mar. 26, Mighty Beer Run (Platt Park run only; see site for other run dates)
The Mighty Beer Run is launching its second annual event series featuring four interactive courses that will challenge runners, walkers and crawlers to earn their beer, from start to finish. The adventures will take place throughout 2016 in Denver’s top neighborhoods including Platt Park, RiNo, South Broadway and a grand finale location. Each race will include scenic views, varying degrees of difficulty and pit stops at four of Denver’s top local breweries. Racers will have two hours to hit each brewery and beat the masses, all while enjoying a cold one. The first five men and women who hit all the breweries and hiccup across the finish line will be rewarded with a golden chalice and the opportunity to race in a special wave at the grand finale.
WHO: Active participants and spectators who enjoy getting outside and have a passion for beer.
EVENTS: Platt Park on Saturday, March 26; RiNo on Saturday, May, 21; South Broadway and the grand finale dates to be determined.
WHERE: We will have a suggested route, but participants are welcome to set their own pace and choose their own path. Each neighborhood will feature four participating breweries. Current brewery partners on the Platt Park course include Declaration Brewing, Platt Park Brewing Co., Grandma’s House and Former Future Brewing Company.
TIMETABLE: The first heat of the March 26th event at Platt Park is already SOLD OUT! For the second heat, participants can check-in at Declaration Brewing around 2:30 p.m. The event begins at 4 p.m. for the Competitor Division and continues on in waves after that for the Crawler Divisions, concluding around 6 p.m. with a post-race after-party featuring food trucks and beer.
