MANHATTAN THE CRAFT BREWERY - A BEER HEAVEN

Imagine a heaven where you get to drink as much as grape soda as you want, but the catch is - that you are not a fan of grape soda. Would that still be a heaven for you?

The same thing happened to me when after hearing praises over praises from my good friend numerous times, I decided to take some of my friends to Manhattan, The Craft Brewery.

As you enter the Global Foyer Mall (Sec 43 Gurgaon), the first thing you notice is how empty the place is. Manhattan is on the first floor and it seemed the only place attracting most of the visitors of the mall. We entered the place and found it brimming with crowd on a Wednesday evening. Imagine what this place would be like on weekends?

First and foremost I would like to mention that the service was really good. Our orders were promptly served and the servers were always on a stand by even though the place was almost packed. Before we could order, we were given the tasters of all the beers that they had. For a non beer drinker like me, even I liked the Belgian Beer, which is their special!

While my friends ordered a tower of the Belgian, I ordered a classic Mojito. I love Mojito, and that is why I like to think of myself as a Mojito connoisseur, if you will. I can easily tell the difference between several kinds of Mojitos and this is where my experience went south; THE MOJITO WAS BAD. For Manhattan's credit, they tried to 'fix' it, but it just didn't work. And so I decided to stick with what I had and ordered a sweet Lime Soda.

The food menu was the most elaborate one I have seen in a pub. From continental to Chinese and Mughlai, they had almost everything you could ask for. We ordered Chicken Tikka and Nachos for starters that disappeared faster than a politician after the elections. For main course we ordered two pizzas and veg biryani. Superb points for the Biryani and Raita to Manhattan. I must admit it was a long time I had such a delicious biryani after a long time. Meanwhile, the beer tower kept serving the four of my friends, where I sticked to Mojito and Lime Soda.

After we were full, we thought of playing some games that Manhattan offers. Being avid video gamers and having our allegiance to the glorious PlayStation brand we took a short time to make fun of the 3 XBOX that Manhattan had installed. Unfortunately we never got a chance to play since all of the stations were occupied.

So at the end, I would say this is a great place if you like Beer and XBOX games. But somebody like me who prefers Playstation and doesn't drink beer, its best to stay away.
