mango dates smoothie - such a filling smoothie with dates,almonds and delicious mango with little bit sugar and whole milk.i added almonds here for the crunchiness in the smoothie.mango in season and am really looking forward to make some more recipes with mango this season and this is the beginning of that.

after weeks am posting something in blog and was so confused on posting the recipe,finally the challenge we make every month came to rescue.Having recipes in hand and was on a mood to take break for few days.But after seeing so many recipes in blog and facebook goups ,tempted me to post it soon.Its hot everywhere and cant go outside before 6 pm ,so smoothies and milkshakes are definitely welcome without any guilt.Am posting this recipe a bit late because of some personal issues and this was the last month challenge there we decide to make something for summer like milkshakes,smoothies.This time partnered with +Saraswathi Tharagaram ,who gave me mango and kiwi.

Unfortunately my kiwi did not ripe till now.What to do?I was waiting it to ripe but it doesnt happen.So asked Saras again for the replacement ,she said ok and then i move on making the smoothie.I bought kiwi for the very first time and no idea about how it tastes, and all.My friend told me it has tangy taste and you have to remove the skin and then use.I think i will explore that fruit this week and for the very first time am going to taste it.

Have tasted two varieties of mango here in pune,apart from alphonso ,kesar and thotapuri.But my favorite is only raw mangoes ,having some plan to make pickle and sun dry them for future use.lets move on making the smoothie.,

smoothie made with mango pulp,dates and almonds

Ingredients
  • mango pulp - 1 cup
  • milk - 1 cup
  • almonds - 4 nos
  • dates - 5 nos
  • light brown sugar - 1 teaspoon
Instructions
  1. First blend almonds in the blender coarsely.
  2. Then add mango pulp,dates ,light brown sugar to it and blend it.
  3. Add milk little by little and make a smoothie till everything blend well.serve chill.
