Getting involved in Man Crush Monday with New Look. I know I'm not alone in accidentally restyling my boyfriend (and brother and Dad) any time I step foot into a menswear store. I'm just obsessed. Menswear is a whole other ballgame for me and quite frankly it is darn exciting when I'm let loose to shop for the boys.
New Look recently asked me to get involved in their Man Crush Monday campaign and style up a, er, man in their new season range. Of course I obliged: I even decided to get a little bit style happy and put a his and hers collection together because the couple that dresses together, stays together. Or something like that. The bee-eff and I often co-ordinate outfits accidentally on purpose anyway so here's what I came up with:
Green Cable Knit Crew Neck Jumper, £13.49 - I ADORE a good cable knit jumper and you know it. In fact, any jumper is good. I think men go one of two ways with knits in the winter: a) avoid like the plague - which is what often happens with E - or b) just rock that preppy Chuck Bass kinda look. Any Chuck Bass style inspo is good in my book and this one would also look amazing with a shirt and leggings. ... On me.
Blue Denim Faded Straight Leg Jeans, £19.99 - Straight leg jeans need to be more of a thing. So classic and I assume comfortable with a New York City vibe about them.
Tan Lace Up Hi-Tops, £29.99 - And to finish the look off, I really like the whole polished lace-up hi-top look. Desert boot inspired footwear is my favorite on men and I'm forever trying to persuade the men in my life to ditch their trainers once in a while for these.
And one for the ladies... Pale Grey Fine Knit Long Sleeve Midi Cardigan, £17.99 - I'm literally obsessed with maxi cardigans at the moment. There's a whole debate of what coat to wear with it but, hey, I don't have that problem anymore! This light gray one is pretty versatile and hits perfectly at that oh-so-sophisticated mid-calf length.
Black On Wednesday Crop Top, £9.99 - Need I say more? Mean Girls inspired slogan tee: always good for off-duty days.
Green Check Zip Front Mini Skirt, £19.99 - To co-ordinate with the mens' look, I picked this super-cute green tartan skirt. It has sweet zip details for a tougher look and is so perfectly Clueless. I guess if you were super brave you could switch the tartan skirt out for a leather one and wear a matching turtleneck cable knit jumper in bottle green.
Black Leather Block Heel Chelsea Boots, £59.99 - And to complete this look, a chunky block heeled Chelsea boot takes you through any autumnal occasion with stylish ease.
