A person was critically injured and four vehicles were damaged when a double cab vehicle collided with them in front of the Kilinochchi Police Station after the driver fell asleep.
An injured man has been admitted to Kilinochchi Hospital.
A car, a trishaw and two motorcycles were damaged in the accident.
As the driver fell asleep, the vehicle veered off the road and crashed into a culvert on the road and had also collided with four vehicles damaging them.
The said vehicle belongs to a government agency and it was involved in this accident while returning to the Eastern Province after visiting Jaffna.
