Making Your Own Yummy Skittles Milkshake!

By Fashionvisuals @fashion_visuals

The recent warm weather, occasional blue skies and bit of sunshine, inspired me to make some yummy Skittles milkshakes! I am a big fan of this drink which I usually purchase at Esquires for a treat when I am out shopping, but I thought I might as well give it a go myself and can now make them at home whenever I want.

Whenever the sun peeps out it is nice to enjoy a cold beverage whilst relaxing in the garden after a long day at work, and the best thing is that these sweet milkshakes don’t take long to make either.

First of all here is a list of the ingredients you will need (and some you don’t really need but they make it look pretty!):

  • A big bag of Skittles
  • White ice cream (it tastes better than the really yellow vanilla kind)
  • Milk
  • Whipped cream
  • Glace cherries
  • Cute straws!

Here are the steps you need to follow to make a couple of glasses of Skittles shakes, I just made up the amount for each I needed and managed to make two big glasses full of it. You can add less or more of the ingredients depending on how many you want to make, and how Skittles-y you want it to taste:

1   Pour in 300ml of milk into the blender

2   Add in 100g of Skittles

3   Put the lid on (securely!) and blend on the fastest setting

4   Add in 3 or 4 big scoops of ice cream to the mix and continue to blend until smooth

5   Pour into a couple of glasses

6   Add some whipped cream and a cherry on top to finish

7   Grab a straw, sit back and enjoy your yummy shake!
