While I love color, it is sometimes very satisfying to work simply with black ink on white paper, which I did in this recent abstract drawing. I was able to get a lot of variation in the line thickness by using a Zig calligraphy paint pen. I also used a Koh-i-noor fine tipped pen in dark gray for some of the very thin lines and texturing. My objective here was to be playful and loose.
2011 abstract drawing #6, archival inks on acid-free paper.
