Makhdoom Family Joins PPP

Three sons of Governor Punjab Makhdoom Ahmed Mehmood have joined ruling Pakistan People’s Party. This was announced in a special ceremony attended by former Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani and Governor Punjab. Addressing the participants Mr. Gillani said that commission report regarding formation of Seraiki Province will be presented in upcoming session of National Assembly. He challenged the opponents to dare challenge the report.

Speaking on the occasion Governor Ahmed Mehmood thanked President Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for choosing him as Governor of Punjab. He once again reiterated that he will not receive any benefits associated with position of Governor.

Syed Mustafa Mehmood and Syed Murtaza Mehmood are national and provincial legislators and were elected on the ticket of Pakistan Muslim League (Functional). Makhdoom family has almost unchallenged political dynasty in Southern Punjab. Their joining will give Pakistan People’s Party a real boost.
