Story: Makeup starts when Sacha (Andre) moves to London to start the next chapter of his life. He moves in with businessman Dan (Masheter) who has built up a macho persona at work. However, at home, he has his own secret, as a drag queen, something that has cost him his marriage.
When Dan sees his own life torn apart, he turns to Sacha for friendship, even though he has his own secret from the world. The two find a new connection that helps them in their time of need, however uncomfortable it might make anyone.
Verdict on Makeup
Makeup is a drama following two strangers that end up sharing a house together. They live separate lives, however, they both have secrets from the world. As they get to know each other the secrets start coming out, causing the world around them to react.
This is a drama about understanding and not being afraid of who you really are. People might judge you, but in the end, if it makes you happy, follow those dreams. This does touch on subjects that people won’t want to talk about, but most importantly it addresses those people as the people holding you back. Hugo Andre and Will Masheter are both brilliant in this movie and it is definitely one of the stronger movies of the year.
Where to Watch: Makeup will be available on Digital Download from 26th June.
Final Thoughts –Makeup is a hard-hitting drama about following your dreams.
