Mailbox today announced a brand new mail application which they are launching next year ( 2013 ). This app promises to bring you a fresh new experience for reading your email on iPhone.
As of now only TheVerge has a comprehensive review on this App, and the demo/promotional video released by Mailboxapp shows what the app is.
The app has a built in to-do list manager, simple swipe actions to mark as read or delete or read later mail and much more. You can bulk edit emails and get the ‘inbox zero’ immediately if you want.
TheVerge says
The best part is that messages you delegate for “later” on your phone also translate to the inbox on your computer or on the web. Mailbox creates a “Later” folder in Gmail to hold the stuff you don’t want to deal with. On the iPhone, Mailbox’s Later folder is cleverly organized by date, letting you browse through all the messages you’ve saved. It works very well, and begs for a Mac counterpart.
Combining a fresh take on messaging producitivity with lightning-fast sending and receiving, Mailbox is a winner. The app does have its share of shortcomings and missing things, namely a Starred section, photo avatars, a way to only view unread messages, a built-in web browser, and support for non-Gmail accounts
