Maggie Holmes Design Team : My Heart is Full

By Jcchris
Hello again! I have always used a system when I create a scrapbook layout. The first thing I would do is to choose a photo. Then I will take a good look at the photo and try to get some inspiration from it. Often times, the colors and the title will lead my creative process. For this layout, I do not have any sketch design in mind but I went with the flow.
I was looking at the products and in my stash. I saw the balance of the ruffles from the previous layout I worked on and thought I should use them again on this layout. I began to layer from the bottom to the top. I didn't intend to cover the whole background as I wanted to fill the gap with patterned paper.
What I did next was to place the photo in the middle of the sections and build my layers all around the photo. At the top section I layered fun ephemera die-cuts. The other half of the section where the ruffles are adhered, I added lots of different dimension stickers. I used the butterflies as my color inspirations too.
The textures are amazing on this layout!
The fringed paper butterflies are one of my fav in the Chasing Dreams collection!
The ruffles sure gave a very girly, pretty look to my layout! Absolutely love that!

It is always fun to create with Chasing Dreams collection, the possibilities are endless... seriously! Thanks for coming by!Xoxo Jessy
