Mad Minis

Mad Minis are the first product from Little Something Foods, a creative food company whose mission is to revolutionize the dessert and snack industry by bringing together great taste, portion control and the best ingredients.

Here’s what I learned about this product on their website: Mad Minis were born out of necessity. Two grown men, young at heart, were increasingly dissatisfied with the frozen dessert offerings in their markets. They found “light ice cream” and “frozen dairy dessert”. They wondered “where was the real ice cream?” The ingredients labels were filled with artificial flavors, artificial colors, and words that were difficult to pronounce…..and the calories! They craved a snack, not a mini meal. Was it possible to make a perfectly sized, great tasting ice cream dessert with real ingredients? They had to try.

After several years of trial and error, Mad Minis were born. The Mad Mini is a great tasting, mini ice cream cookie sandwich made with real ice cream, no artificial ingredients and only 60 calories – currently in four delicious flavors. They think you will find it hard to eat just one.

Instead of full sized sandwiches, Mad Minis these are a smaller, more traditional looking sandwich cookie filled with ice cream. Not only are the cookies smaller than your standard ice cream sandwich, but they are also a very low 60 calories each. The flavors offered right now are Blondie, Black Raspberry, Chocolate and Vanilla.

Even though these ice cream sandwiches are frozen, the cookie sandwich part is still chewy right out of the freezer and you don’t have to thaw them out.  The best part is the ice cream in between the sandwiches – not a hunk of processed and fake white fill stuff, but honest to goodness ice cream.  Seriously, one of the best ice cream sandwiches I’ve ever tasted. It’s also great for anyone trying to watch what they eat too – I was able to enjoy a chocolate fix without overeating by savoring one of these little sandwiches when I was foraging for a dessert after dinner.

The boxes they come i are bright and fun – you won’t miss them in the frozen section. I’m located in Southwest Florida and I’ve found these available at BJ’s and at Whole Foods stores.  If you want to see where they’re available in your area, check their website for locations near you HERE.

Celebrate #IceCreamMonth with Mad Minis!

Thank you Mad Minis for providing me with samples of these delicious treats for the purpose of this review.
