Macau Photo Diary

By Winyeemichelle

Visiting Macau for the first time. I've been so excited to share some photos from my recent trip to Macau! A beautiful, former Portuguese setting that's just an hour's ferry ride away from Hong Kong, some of my family - visiting me from Malaysia - and I decided to spend a day there to just hang out, have fun and take photos for the family wall.
We chose such a beautiful day for a tourist-centric trip, overwhelmingly warm for November yet with a good amount of cloud so we didn't burn to a crisp. (Although, with Malay-blood in us, that's hardly possible.) After catching a shuttle bus over to the Grand Lisboa casino, we wandered off through the old town, glimpsed the well-kept Portuguese-style buildings nestled amongst newer developments, tried out some of their famous Portuguese tarts and 豬扒包, and hiked all the way up to Ruínas de São Paulo (大三巴牌坊) so I could pretend to be in a K-drama.
We then walked up and up to the fort - Fortaleza do Monte - and snapped plenty of family photos with the breathtaking scenery and cityscapes for the family albums and wall. Boom! Next time, I 100% have to go to the Venetian Hotel to complete that whole K-drama facade.
