MØ, You Wanna Know ...

We'll be honest in admitting that we've heard the name MØ chucked around a few times, but we never really thought to genuinely try it out. The song, Never Wanna Know, was sent our way and we finally surrendered. Unfortunately for us, it seems that we've missed the mark and, whilst we're completely taken aback and in love, we feel we're a little behind.
The comparisons are far too easy. The slow pace, the sensual rhythm, and the way in which the vocals sit on top are all very similar to that of, you guessed it, Lana Del Rey. However, in saying this, there are differences that bear likeness to other artists, such as Best Coast, Lady Gaga, and for some reason, Noisettes spring to mind. This then, provides a wide variety of genres that MØ could be placed within and, that, therefore, makes it all the more exciting.
There's a little more animation to this than that of Lana Del Rey, and we think that's what makes the difference and means that this Danish lady is more than capable of breaking into the ready saturated market. She has quite the astounding sound and, we reckon, is one that could stop you right in your tracks if she were to perform in front of you.
This track tends to suggest that we'd need to hear a little more to be honest. The massively '60's instrumental is one that is making a powerful comeback, and is what allows the comparisons to Best Coast to come about ... we can't wait to hear a little more, as we expect a lot to happen here.
