I appreciate the opportunity to test the following products courtesy of Lysol via BzzAgent.
All opinions expressed are my own.
I love a clean house but I hate cleaning.
If I can find a fabulous product to cut my cleaning time down, I am thrilled.
Lysol promises that their Power & Free line has more cleaning power than bleach by utilizing the micro bubble action of hydrogen peroxide to dissolve grease & soap scum.
They also promise you can skip masks, gloves & protective eye wear while using because it is no where near as harsh.
Did these products hold up to their claim?

Results
I made sure the bathroom was extra dirty before testing.
I DETEST the pink goo that forms in our bathrooms from our water system. Ick!
I did wear gloves, simply because I always do even when I use my homemade cleaning products.
The fewer substances that come in contact with my skin, the better.
Power & Free Multi-Purpose Cleaning Wipes
Pros
- Easy to use.
- Kills 99.9% of viruses & bacteria.
- Inexpensive.
- Cleans lightly soiled surface areas well without extra elbow grease.
- I did not get a headache from the fumes or break out in a rash {which happens with a lot of the standard cleaners}.
Cons
- The smell. I hated it. I couldn’t quite put my finger on it, but it was making me gag.
- The wipes did not have as many “scrubbies” on the wipes as some other brands that I have tried, so they were not as effective on dirtier areas.
- More expensive than my current cleaning regimen.
Verdict
I will not be purchasing these. I liked the ease of them, but I just can’t get past the smell. Sorry Lysol!
Power & Free Multi-Purpose Cleaner
Pros
- Cuts through grime very effectively. I sprayed each surface & allowed to sit for about 5 minutes so the bubbles could do their work. Almost everything came off with a single swipe of the toilet brush or microfiber cloth.
- Kills 99.9% of viruses & bacteria.
- The Citrus Sparkle Zest was a pleasant smell.
- I did not get a headache from the fumes or break out in a rash.
- Inexpensive.
Cons
- More expensive than my current cleaning regimen.
Verdict
I will continue to use the spray, but will not be purchasing once it is gone because my current cleaning regimen is significantly cheaper.
