LUSH Halloween 2014

By Hellofreckles @tashajsteel
At the weekend I went along to my local Lush store to see this year's Halloween range which is full of lovely treats!
Wizard immediately caught my eye (is it just me who thinks he looks a little like The Christmas Penguin?) With a relaxing mix of juniper berry, ylang ylang oil and fennel oil it not only smells amazing, but it's great for a chilled out bath with lots of bubbles. Wizard is a bubble bar that will easily give you two relaxing evenings with lots of bubbles and purple water. Sparkly Pumpkin is an incredibly glittery treat, also a bubble bar, that will warm those dark nights. I didn't pick one of these up, since it looked way too glittery for my liking, but it did smell lovely. A mix of tangerine, juniper berry and lime - not what I expected, since I had assumed it would smell like pumpkins. Guess Lush tricked me there!
Sparkler may well be my favorite so far, or at least joint favourite! A bath bomb that packs some serious punch and will give you your own little firework display. Rose Jam scented (instant favorite in my books) with geranium oil and popping candy, it's a treat I can't wait to use.
Northern Lights has been so successful it's being extended until Christmas. The manager at my local store told me they sold 11 boxes of this one in a week, so of course I had to pick up one to try. The demonstration in store looked incredible, so colourful as you can see and it really does smell amazing. Doesn't everything from Lush though?! With jasmine absolute and ylang ylang oil, it's a relaxing floral scent and believe me, you'll want to watch the impressive display as it slowly fizzes around your bath.
I also picked up Lord of Misrule, a bath bomb in the more traditional spherical form you see in Lush. Don't be tricked by the green appearance of this spicy patchouli and black pepper scented bomb, it fizzes away revealing an inner red core which turns your water a deep wine shade. I saw this demonstrated in store and loved the scent and idea behind it. I'll be sure to report back with my thoughts soon!
One for you soap fans out there is Fairy Ring, which you can see above. The mushroom shaped soap is actually made from mushrooms, ylang ylang oil and jasmin absolute. Not only does it look absolutely adorable, it smells great too. Mushrooms are full of nutrients and are said to improve circulation - something I never knew before! I'm glad I don't work in Lush, I wouldn't want to cut up one of those little toadstools!
Have you tried any of Lush's Halloween range or is there anything I've inspired you to pick up?
