After our visit to Chateau du Chenonceau (Chenonceau), we were taken to lunch at the private home of a husband and wife who are avid gardeners.

We’d had a bit of rain earlier that morning and it was a cool day, so it was such a comfort to be invited into the large French country kitchen for appetizers near an open hearth fireplace. Lunch was served around a huge table in a large dining room. The zucchini quiche with goat cheese was so good and I loved the simple dessert after the many rich meals we’d been eating — strawberries with cream and mint.
There are three more photos of this home and garden on my Flickr page, along with photos from Chenonceau and other places we visited in France: Joy’s Photostream.
