The production has already cast Dakota Johnson in the role of Anastasia Steele. But it faced setbacks when Sons of Anarchy actor Charlie Hunnam backed out as the male lead citing scheduling conflicts.
But according to the report from the Hollywood Reporter announcing Grimes’ casting, things seem to be getting back on track. Filming is tentatively scheduled to begin in early November.
