Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy Weddings had a Caribbean influence injected into them with Lucy and Paul’s beach party themed wedding back in July.
A lovely concept and theme for a wedding held at the home of the National sailing team and one that was carried off so well!
Asa touching tribute to her late grand mother, Lucy decided to hold her wedding on the same date as that of her Grand Parents, in the same local church – St Mary’s in Chickerell, Weymouth.
It was a lovely gesture and made even more special by her grandfather reciting a reading during the service.
Although the day had started a little over cast, come the time to leave for the church service the heavens well and truly opened with an almost tropical downpour.
Thankfully short lived, with the day clearing back to reveal the summer sun once more. The beach party wedding reception sprung into life to the sounds of a steel band playing Bob Marley tunes, whilst over looking the beautiful Dorset coastline.
With the guests wearing flower garlands, treated to a bar-b-que meal and a live band in the evening, the day went off with a bang. A day full of fun and a pleasure to capture!
Congratulations once again Lucy & Paul and thanks for inviting me along to capture your day!
