I’ve gone lower than my lowest weight since starting this journey and I’m just thrilled. I am going to ride the momentum as far as I can before I hit another plateau. I will visit my sister the weekend of April 19th and am setting my sights on that as a benchmark… I would like to have lost 4 more pounds by then, which would officially put me in the 130lbs range.
Yesterday’s calorie breakdown:
Breakfast: 1 hard boiled egg (78) and black tea.
Lunch: String cheese, chicken breast, cherry tomatoes, mango (252)
No snack
Dinner: Brown rice pasta, baby spinach, shrimp, garlic, parmesan cheese, olive oil (401)
Dinner was a splurge, but I could afford it after the smaller meals of the day. It was such good comfort food and very sustaining… no hunger pangs before bed! I’ve noticed that I need to eat dinner (as opposed to skipping it or front-loading my calories) in order to see a bigger drop on the scale in the morning. This flies in the face of the “Eat like a king in the morning, a prince in the afternoon, and a pauper in the evening” philosophy; does anyone else notice a similar trend?
And, for the record, if I had let all my plateau’s and setbacks to date get in the way of my journey then I would be completely incapable of relaying any information about things I’ve noticed in my weight loss… because I would have quit a long time ago. Success.
