Verdict on Lovely, Dark, and Deep

Lovely, Dark, and Deep is a horror mystery following a rookie park ranger alone in the forest. She is excited at the opportunity but is haunted by an event in her past. It ends up taking her on a surreal journey she isn’t prepared for.

This is a horror movie that dives into the lasting effects of childhood trauma. How the person will be haunted through their whole life and the journey offers some answers. However, it is uncomfortable for Lennon and sees things go in an unusual direction. On the other side of the bigger story, the use of the forest and the known number of missing people adds an extra layer of mystery. Georgina Campbell continues to shine in horror movies, with most of this movie relying on her performance. In the end, this is a movie that takes you somewhere unknown and keeps you guessing in every scene.
