The first thing that struck me about Jessica Alba’s guest house was how blue it was. That’s a color I have never even considered using for walls, or ceilings for that matter, but the finished product in Jessica’s house is like living inside a soft and luxurious jewelry box. Jessica Alba is someone I have really come to admire. It would be easy to dismiss her as someone who pops up in movies and red carpet premiers, (I cannot wait for Entourage – the movie, in which Jessica plays herself…lol) but she has blossomed into a business woman and a property developer. She heads up The Honest Company (specialising in eco-friendly baby and household products) and developed this property into a guest house with LA’s Consort design. In Domaine the designers explain the vibe of Jessica Alba’s guest house (which she rents out by the way) is designed for the “adventure seeking, globe-trotting couple” in mind. It’s kind of like a mixture of a boutique hotel and a cosy home.
The jewelry box effect is enhanced by he chrome and gold accent and accessories. They do this very well in California. The mix of the glam with the relaxed chic. The house, which actually was the first home Jessica purchased in LA, has killer views (check out the terrace pic). Just imagine sipping on cocktails there whilst the City of Angeles glitters in front you. Now that’s what I call a dream of a guest house!
