If you can wear your heart on your sleeve, why not Paris?
Puffer jackets with detailed 3D cityscapes appeared on Thursday at a livestream fashion show in Paris and presented the fall-winter men's fashion collection 2021 by designer Louis Vuitton. The jackets are partly fashionable, partly architectural and partly very awkward to wear in overcrowded subways.
Virgil Abloh, Artistic Director of the Louis Vuitton menswear collection, designed two of these "portable miniature cityscapes".
One, the "Paris Skyline Puffer", dresses the wearer in French landmarks such as the Louvre, the Arc de Triomphe, the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Eiffel Tower (which makes for a fairly high shoulder pad). The "New York City Skyline Puffer" features skyscrapers from New York and other cities, including the John Hancock Center in Abloh's hometown of Chicago.

"With his new Louis Vuitton collection, Virgil Abloh is using fashion as a tool to change given perceptions of dress codes," says the fashion house.
The elaborately choreographed and staged multidisciplinary runway show combines fashion, poetry, movement and music. It took place at the Tennis Club de Paris against a modernist set inspired by the Barcelona Pavilion, which served as the German pavilion for the 1929 International Exhibition in Barcelona.
Because of the coronavirus pandemicLive viewers could not participate. However, you can watch a movie of the show called Peculiar Contrast, Perfect Light and dream of a day when you can go to places in addition to your living room in fancy clothes. Here it is:
