You may already know about my love of vintage photography and typography but did you know of my love of vintage (rare) video's? The kind that gives you a glimpse into the lives of the most interesting people from the past. I love the cameras and the films created with them. In fact, immediately after we moved in to our new place, I stole all the awesome retro camera's from my parent's place and created a display in our basement. I just love watching celebrities from all walks of life including politics, entertainment and notorious dictators, come to life through the black and white images. It is fascinating. Every now and then, you come across footage that invites you in and opens the curtains to a view that you never anticipated - possibly breaking down your own personal perceptions. The video below is simply amazing. Maybe I'm the only one who thinks that but it is so neat. A 13 minute film capturing Jackie Kennedy's visit to India. We are all fully aware (and in awe) of her grace and style but these images shed such an incredible light on the First Lady and the beauty of India. Hope you'll enjoy it as much as I did...The baby elephant, the fashion show, the "cute Indian dolls," game of polo... Which day was Jackie Kennedy's favorite part of the trip? As the narrator says,
"To her, they were all magic moments..."
