Entertainment Weekly just brought forth Los Bandoleros, the short film that Vin Diesel shot that ties in a bunch of stuff in the franchise to Fast 4. It explains where Dom was that whole time, and Letty appears, and Han, and some other familiar faces. This franchise keeps surprising me. Its only 20 minutes long, so enjoy!
