Long Island “knockout” Punk Arrested

This is the face of an urban terrorist.

His name is Darryl Mitchell.

20-year-old Mitchell had terrorized Long Island with his “knockout game” since at least April 2013. The term “knockout game” refers to urban blacks who randomly assault (knock out) strangers, not to rob, but for fun.

N. J. Burkett reports for WABC, Dec. 17, 2013, that Darryl Mitchell of Amityville, NY, was arrested and will be charged with up to 7 counts of ‘knockout’ assaults in the Babylon to Amityville area. His victims range in age from 17 to 69.

One of Mitchell’s victims is another black man, Darryl Jones. He said he was walking home from the grocery store at three one afternoon when a young man came walking toward him. Out of nowhere, the man — Darryl Mitchell — delivered a single, roundhouse punch to the face that left Jones stunned, with a gash above his eye that took seven stitches to close.

Jones said, ”It I wasn’t strong enough, I probably would’ve passed out. He [Mitchell] was walking on the sidewalk and I moved out of the way just to step into the street and he stood in front of me holding up his hands and hit me in the face. Right after he assaulted me, the next day he assaulted someone else down the street and someone after that. The guy is a terror.”

Another victim told police that Mitchell “just started to punch me in the face multiple times for no reason. And then the black male started to kick me in my body and head. I blacked out a little and all I heard him saying was get off my block.”

Investigators say many of Mitchell’s attacks are strikingly-similar to the so-called “Knockout Assaults” in Brooklyn and elsewhere.
