Mary, Fiona, Maxine & Noel in the London Walks office write… On Mondays & Fridays we'll be sharing reviews of our London Walks written by London Walkers. Firstly, THANKS to all who have written to us down through the years, your kind words are greatly appreciated! Our guides don't solicit these reviews on our tours – we believe that this would be a waste of your time. That's what makes these reviews all the more special – they have been sent to us by genuine London Walkers who have given up their valuable time to drop us a line or two, or leave a comment on travel message boards & websites. Thanks everyone.
This arrives via email from Linda Marquis of Northern Kentucky University, one of the loveliest notes of praise we've ever had …
Over the years, I have used London Walks for both Jack the Ripper (with Simon) and Along the Thames Pub Walk (with David) for my CCSA study group. Although I will probably be back in London, I will probably not be with students.
So it is time for me to tell you how wonderful those experiences have been – both for me and for my students. I have recommended London Walks to all my friends and I will continue to do so. I’ve also recommended you to my colleagues who teach in London.
In the future, I’ll just be one of those people who shows up for a public walk (which I have also participated in previously). Thank you for excellent vignettes of life in London. Please keep up this excellent venture.
A London Walk costs £10 – £8 concession. To join a London Walk, simply meet your guide at the designated tube station at the appointed time. Details of all London Walks can be found at www.walks.com
