#London Walkers Review London Walks: The Lure of the Underground @fionalukas

By Lwblog @londonwalks

Mary, Fiona, Maxine & Noel in the London Walks office write… On Mondays & Fridays we'll be sharing reviews of our London Walks written by London Walkers. Firstly, THANKS to all who have written to us down through the years, your kind words are greatly appreciated! Our guides don't solicit these reviews on our tours – we believe that this would be a waste of your time. That's what makes these reviews all the more special – they have been sent to us by genuine London Walkers who have given up their valuable time to drop us a line or two, or leave a comment on travel message boards & websites. Thanks everyone.
Thanks (and Happy New Year!) to NigelW101 from Lincolnshire for this lovely five star review on TripAdvisor for Fiona's Lure Of the Underground tour…
“Underground Tour Great Value”
Google "London Walks": that's the name of the company. Five of us wanted a Boxing Day walk in London and I looked online at all the options. The Underground option seemed the best - it bit more off the wall than some. We all use the Underground and wanted to know more about it.
Fiona was our guide and we all (about 25 of us) met up at Baker Street tube station at 10.45am. 2 and a bit hours. We finished at Westminster tube station. Easy to listen to, informative and enthusiastic, too. We got history in 5 minute blocks as we walked and used the tube (3 times), architecture was pointed out, artefacts described to look out for and a fascinating insight into the whole network.
Easy walking, some stairs, some busy roads to cross. Fine for accompanied children over 10 years old (in my view). We were all age groups up to about 70 years old. Ok for solo travellers, too.
