In the wake of London Fashion Week, I give you my own street style look.
Oh, London – the transcendent city I will forever hold on a sartorial pedestal. Summers in Egypt always came paired with a finale in London. This city holds my heart. Its become a second home, a city I know like the back of my hand. Growing up, London became a symbol of the creative constructs of fabric found on those that rival the predictability of Dallas’s fashion scene. I’m always eager to take in the fashion whims of the British I see traipsing through the Piccadilly Line. This visit was no different.
While I love London in the Spring and Summer months, theres something about it in the wintertime. For starters, theres the Christmas markets in Hyde Park for Winter Wonderland. Other than an excuse to carb load a la fries and pastries, theres all kinds of shops and activities. Speaking of carbs, its mandatory to grab a bite of fish and chips in Leicester Square or indulge your sweet tooth at Harrods. You can always burn it off at Somerset House for a bit of ice skating. Seriously, the coolest rink I’ve ever been to.
To shop, I finally got a chance to visit Liberty London. The interior was gorgeous – floors of wooden layouts and intricate architecture that surrounded displays of designer brands. I’ll definitely be back here apart from my usual shopping escapades on Oxford Street.
For my first look, I wore a: Zara coat, Wanted Amarillo boots, Yansi Fugel scarf, and Karen Walker sunglasses.
