London Hip Hop Artist Leon Flames Releases Matrix-Inspired Music Video for "The One"

I've had my ears on London-based hip hop artist Leon Flames for some time now. If you're a fan of anything from the Wu Tang Clan to Skepta, you should find yourself digging the intensity of his lyrics and performance. Stylistically, Leon gives nods to the classics while incorporating edgy grime and trap elements into his 'one man revolution' signature sound. His latest music video for "The One" is high concept, well-executed, and recently premiered on Link Up TV.

About the video in the words of the Artist:

"In the music video, the people of Zion are interacting when they are interrupted by Morpheus as he brings forth the revelation that he has found 'the one'. Morpheus believes that Leon Flames is the chosen one who will bring back real rap music. The Oracle reveals to Trinity that she will fall in love with Leon Flames. Leon Flames is brought to Morpheus by Trinity to be given his mission that is presented to him in the form of a hard drive that he is to protect at all costs. Leon flames visits the Oracle, who reveals to him that Morpheus will be captured by the agents and he must rescue Morpheus with the help of Trinity and the people of Zion before the agents extract all the sacred music information from his mind resulting in the downfall of Zion. Morpheus is captured by the agents before being rescued by Trinity and the people of Zion spearheaded by Leon Flames. I am a big fan of the matrix and I liken my musical journey to that concept because I am battling to bring real rap music back to the forefront and out from the shadows of front running mainstream music."
