Souther Square, Kings Cross Station, N1C 4TB, London. Opens 10am-1am.
Last night on the way home from a catch-up with three of my best old work friends, Sophie and I spotted that Coffee Dogs has finally set up camp in Kings Cross! With twenty minutes until our train, it was a bit of a no-brainer.
Coffee Dogs serves up the "best" in South American coffee, a selection of hot dogs and Londoner favoured burgers (that smell incredible, but we'd just eaten dinner), as well as frozen custard - that instantly put stars/hearts in our eyes.
Sophie and I were commute pals for a good 15 months, and for around 11 of those, we'd been waiting for Coffee Dogs to open. It's a kiosk style eatery with a few barstool seats - all outside. I can imagine it being really popular when the weather warms up as Kings Cross Square has been redone with plenty of seating too!
We both opted for the Southern Square frozen yoghurt in a cup. Filled to the brim with vanilla frozen custard and topped with chocate spread, Malteasers, Crunchie, chocolate sprinkles, popping candy (!!!), butterscotch sauce and marshmallows. It's surprisingly lighter to eat than frozen yoghurt and the Southern Square toppings were to die for. Basically, we've already planned to go back and sample the rest of the menu ASAP.
