Over the next few weeks we'll be pointing you in the direction of our favorite shops and shopping neighbourhoods near the meeting and ending points of our London Walks …
No.5. The Royal Exchange
That Tom! He knows how to keep Christmas in his heart!
Here he is in full spate, leading us around The British Museum…
And here is his shopping tip if you are in The City. Typical of the polymath that he is, he's pointing us to a one-stop boutique shopping experience that features everything from pens to, well, pants…
Tom writes… In the City, The Royal Exchange will take on a festive appearance and Leadenhall Market will again have it's huge Christmas Tree.
A touch of Luxury at Christmas in and around the Royal Exchange and warming food and drink at Leadenhall.
Both markets are along the route of the Famous Square Mile walk.
Thanks Tom!
Tom Tom is a barrister, Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, Examiner for the Blue Badge Guides Course, travel writer and another creme de la creme professionally qualified Blue Badge Guide (he's the Chairman of the Guild of Guides Association). Follically challenged but motorcycling virile, his graceful wit, classic elegance of mind, infectious giggle, and gentle and generous heart make him the delight of all who know him. You can catch up with Tom's favorite London film HERE, and he'll be back with more Xmas shopping tips soon.
