Coming to the University of Chicago is the first-ever Logan Center Bluesfest, and it’s bringing a full musical, educational, and interactive experience this weekend, October 13 – 15.
Headlining the live performances are Elvis Bishop and his Big Fun Trio, Billy Branch showcasing Bringing the Blues Back to the South Side, and John Anderson showcasing Horn from the Heart: The Paul Butterfield Story, alongside band members Mark Naftalin and Sam Lay. For those who may have missed it, we covered John Anderson’s documentary about the legendary Sam lay in Sam Lay in Bluesland, and we’re delighted to see him again at Logan Center Bluesfest. Other artists attending the festival include Melody Angel, Eddy Clearwater, Terrie Odabi, and Corky Siegel.
Make reservations now to attend the various free events taking place at Logan Center Bluesfest – what’s sure to be a fantastic community celebration year after year. Check out the complete schedule of events here.
