The Lockheed T-33 is one of the world’s best-known aircraft, having served with the air forces of more than 40 different countries. Built by Canadair and delivered to the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1954, this T-33 spent its entire career with the RCAF until retirement in the late 1990’s. This example was acquired by the Planes of Fame Museum in 2007. The high visibility paint allows the jet to work as the safety jet during the Reno Air Races. The last operator of the T-33, the Bolivian Air Force, retired their T-33’s in July 2017 after 44 years of service. This classic jet warbird first flew in 1948 and over 6500 were produced by Lockheed and Canadair (CT-133 Silver Star) in Canada. Nikon D500 w/Tamron 150-600mm.
