On a recent trip to Colorado Springs, I was able to get access to the US Air Force Academy. One feature of the campus is the “Study Hall” outdoor sculpture garden. The “Study Hall” is required learning for all cadets. Each aircraft’s history is memorized by students, assuring a mark in aviation memory. Academy personnel claim the sculpture garden to be the most visited site on the grounds. This P-38, sculpted by Robert Henderson, was gifted by the P-38 National Association and dedicated on August 28, 1992. HDR with Nikon D300, processed with Photomatix.
