Live Graffiti Art Demonstration by Chris “Daze” Ellis and Lady Pink
October 13, 2013
10 am – 5 pm

Two legendary street artists—both important figures of the graffiti movement of the 1970s and 1980s—will paint original murals in a live demonstration on the Museum’s Front Terrace. The event, celebrating the launch of the Museum’s new publication City as Canvas: New York Graffiti from the Martin Wong Collection (Skira Rizzoli, 2013), provides a special opportunity to observe these accomplished practitioners as they work through their creative process. Join in by sketching in your own graffiti blackbook (bring your own or use the ones provided).

Presented in collaboration with Mass Appeal magazine. Free with Museum admission.
