Santa Clarita – A critter the size of a goldfish has wiggled its way into a controversy that has turned off some canyon residents’ tap water, halted bulldozers and periodically flooded a road in the Santa Clarita Valley.
Garry Rogers: Classic conflict between a dominant species and a helpless species. Ignoring its long-term best interest for protection of habitat and other species, the dominant species will fight to eliminate the helpless species in return for a short-term gain.
