Lucius just revealed the second single from their upcoming LP, Good Grief, in the form of unadulterated pop decadence. In contrast to the dance-heavy “Born Again Teen”, “Madness” stretches the tempo thinner and slower as they recount a pitch black nightmare driving them to insanity. The track’s visualizer is every bit as trippy and dreamlike as it needs to be. The purity of their harmonies, the gently heightened intensity of the chorus and that damn key change all serve as indicators that Lucius still have a hell of a lot of luscious music up their sleeves to share.
