As you’re probably aware, we’re big fans of The National here at Raccoon HQ. It was lovely news, then, that their contribution to the new Hunger Games: Catching Fire is now available to listen to. ‘Lean’ is a gentle amble through territory we’d all expect from the band. Matt Berninger croons his way through a melancholic introduction, before the percussion and lyrical shift after the first minute add some intent and immediacy to the track, leading to a typically rousing climactic section.
Also featuring on the soundtrack are the likes of Diplo, The Weeknd, Phantogram and Santigold to name a few. The film comes out on November 22nd, with the soundtrack preceding it on the 19th.
