Stop the press! Kings of Leon’s new album is available to stream.
Titled Mechanical Bull, the band’s sixth album is due out on the 24th via RCA, but once again we’re being treated to the full album a whole week early thanks to those lovely guys at iTunes.
So, what’s it going to be like? Bassist Jared Followill claims the album is a mix between their 2003 debut Youth and Young Manhood and 2007′s Because Of The Times. Sounds pretty interesting, though you feel it’s going to take a lot of effort for the band to prove they’re still relevant in today’s music industry. You kind of get the impression that the band don’t really care that they’ve lost a lot of their fans from the early days, but then at the same time you hope that a genuine return to form is just round the corner. Then again, does anyone actually care about KOL anymore? Despite what I’ve just written there I worry that deep down I honestly just don’t care. Sad.
