When Brittany tagged me in this post, I knew instantly that I wanted to do it. Lipsticks are one of my favorite bits of makeup and whilst my collection may still be growing, I feel that what I have at the moment is a really good size for me and works well. As I won't be mentioning all the lipsticks that I own down below, I thought that I would make the photos like a little collection so I've taken a snap of all the formula and shade names (above) if you wanted to know what anything was called!
1. How many lipsticks do you own? Not nearly as many as I would like! I've only got into wearing lipstick quite recently, and I'm still experimenting with wearing bolder colours so my collection is still pretty small (in my eyes!). I also had a clear out recently and gave a few shades away that I didn't really like/never wore, so my collection has actually downsized!
2. What was the first lipstick you owned? Probably something that I stole from my mum, haha! Or an elf one, I can't quite remember though ...
3. What is your favorite lipstick brand? It has to been YSL, the formulas are incredible; lightweight, creamy, sheer but can still be built up. And that packaging *insert heart eyed emoji* ... I just love them so much!
4. What is your most worn lipstick? I think it would have to be either Blushing Mauve from Revlon or my L'Oreal Rouge Caresse in Fashionista Pink, both are great for everyday wear as they are subtle colours that give a my lips but better finish and the formulas are non-drying so it means that they don't have to be saved for special occasions!
5. What is your favorite finish? I really like sheer washes of color at the moment. The Rouge Volupté Shines are great for this, as are the L'Oréal Rouge Caresses. It makes wearing brighter colours so much easier, softens the look and means that you don't even need a gloss!
6. What was the last lipstick you bought? I think it must have been the Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in 12 Coralicious, which was absolutely ages ago. Perhaps it is time to treat myself again ...
7. How many lip products do you currently have in your bag? Usually just a lip balm or gloss if I am honest! At the moment I carry around the Balm's Plump your Pucker, a really nice brightening pink color which gives a nice shine to the lips without making them feel horrible and sticky.
8. What is your favorite red lip colour? Love that Red from Revlon would have to be my favorite 'true red' but when I want something a little more casual I will always go for Aphrodite Scarlet from the L'Oréal Rouge Caresse range. When I had my little clear out, red lipsticks were the main thing to go, lord knows how I accumulated so many, so it means a lot that these two made the cut!
9. How do you store your lipsticks? I have a dressing table in my room which has a draw where I like to store all my beauty bits and bobs. Most of my lipsticks are propped up in there in a little divider, but my YSL one is usually on the top for display!
10. Which lipsticks are you currently lusting after? Way too many to mention here! Lipsticks always seem to be at the top of my wish list, as anyone who reads my wish lists posts will know. To name but a few; NYX Xtreme Lip Cream Nude Peach Fuzz, Urban Decay Naked Revolution, Revlon Lipbutters in Peach Parfait, Berry Smoothie and Macaroon, MAC Patisserie, Topshop Whimsical, YSL Nude in Private and Tom Ford Pink Dusk.
