Lindsay Lohan has finally gotten it right as far as courtroom fashion goes. But I suppose it could be blind luck since she has appeared in court more times this year than most entire families do in a lifetime. Although, I have a few recommendations that could have improved her work, I am totally impressed. Did she hire a stylist? If she already had one, did they finally conduct a quick study of the appropriate attire people should wear to court? Bravo!
At her April 10, 2012 court appearance to respond to assault allegations, Ms. Lohan wore a blue suit, black blouse and black platform heels. She also wore her hair up in a sleek chignon with oversized black sunglasses. The outfit kind of reminds me of the 80’s, but overall, it is a vast improvement from previous ensembles. Lilo is wearing a suit, she has covered her chest, her hair has been washed with shampoo and her clothing fits her like an adult.
I would especially like you to focus on the way the suit jacket fits her. The single button cinches the jacket in the perfect part of her midsection, the thinnest part. Drawing the eye to the thinnest part of your body, is something you should pay special attention to, because if you don’t you will not look your best. This jacket looks like it was made for Lindsay. Even though most people don’t wear suits that cost the amount of two mortgages, you can still look great in a suit by making sure the jacket is fitted appropriately to your body. Her hair is also flawless. I love the chic low bun with a hint of teasing at the crown. Looks beautiful, commanding and well put together. Exactly the image you want to project in court.
The only thing I would have changed would have been to have her remove that silver necklace that reminds me of my eighth grade school picture. Unless you are a celebrity, I would also not recommend wearing a colored suit. Stick to neutral-colored or black suits, those are the uniforms of courtroom success.
