Limewood, Repulse Bay.

Limewood. Shop 103/104 The Pulse, 28 Beach Rd, Repulse Bay. I've been itching to share a post about Limewood for the longest time. I first stumbled across this gem of a boardwalk alfresco eatery when a colleague and I took an extravagant lunch break at the beach. Situated on the ground floor of The Pulse, Limewood specialises in seafood, BBQ food and cocktails. All the summer essentials.
Repulse Bay Beach is one of the most beautiful in Hong Kong. Surrounded by towering houses and high rise apartments alike, it's a cosy hub of expats, tourists, retirees and locals with beautiful views and it's just a short bus ride away from Stanley. (I'll share a post about there soon, too!) It makes perfect sense to shimmy in a little beachside shopping center - c'mon, we are in Hong Kong after all - with a plethora of cool eats.
I've eaten here 3 or 4 times already but failed to snap any photos. I truly recommend their tuno tartare though!

On this occasion, we opted for the Potato Salad, calamari and crab guacamole with tortilla chips. Just a few light bites before we hit the beach for a spot of sunbathing, 1989 listening and selca time (: For that, I think Limewood is a really well-rounded restaurant. It absolutely hit the spot for our light lunch on a scorcher of a day, perfectly set off by cocktails. The potato salad is my favorite thing ever. I order it every time I go! I loved the calamari too - always a winner it seems, but the batter was light and crispy and the dressing was flavourful and just a little somethin' different.
If you have a beach trip planned, save the sandwiches for another time and spend a little extra here; it'll pave the way for an amazing beach day!
