LightningWorks Releases Interactive Comic Book and Game Siege Worlds Zero

Comics report NFT news. Today, LightningWorks, an organization that specializes in Comic NFTs, interactive comic books, and Web3 gaming, published the first interactive comic book on Ethereum. “Siege Worlds Zero” was created by comic book and video game artists of the highest caliber.

DC Alfonso, co-creator of Avengers Unlimited, drew the comics, while Grammy-winning ‘Bassy Bob’ advises the music component of Lightningworks. Fiksenbaum has a great deal of experience directing and developing engaging fantasy worlds.

DG Franchin, an X-Men and Spider-Man artist for Marvel Comics, is also a member of the team. DG Franchin is the lead artist on Moon-1 NFT.

Geoff McCabe, founder, and president of LightningWorks noted that this interactive comic and 3D game use blockchain technology in a great way. It is a play-to-win first-person shooter that rewards cooperation. The NFT technology enables players to find “Easter eggs”—hidden hints and puzzles within the comic book—for use in the game. The only way to gain NFT weaponry such as a rifle, pistol, and crossbow related to the story’s characters is through minting this comic or purchasing them from other players on OpenSea.

What is Siege Worlds?

Siege Worlds is a gripping story about a mysterious island where ancient heroes are resurrected to battle sea monsters and discover their purpose. These warriors include the samurai Miyamoto Musashi, the gladiator Flamma, Joan of Arc, and “Bonnie Oakland,” modeled after Annie Oakley, an American sniper who starred in Buffalo Bill’s Wild West show and inspired the song “Annie get your gun.” The comic book follows amateur historian Andrew Phillips, who wakes up on a beach on Siege Worlds island, populated by these mythological warriors and hordes of monsters, following a terrible vehicle accident. Each hero remembers their death and speaks the same language of mystery, and no one knows why they or were revived.

Geoff McCabe commented, “Our intention is to have the comic book story track alongside new game content, to give players the feeling that they are the heroes in the story in a way that builds community. For three years we’ve been in stealth, building the Web3 and VR/Metaverse tech to make it possible for us to take digital entertainment to new heights.”

“LightningWorks Portal” NFT collection

In November of this year, the first “LightningWorks Portal” NFT collection sold out within 24 hours. Since the “crypto winter” and the 97-99% decrease in global NFT trading volume, the value of The Portal has surged fivefold. McCabe noted, “Our Portals will have features never previously seen in the NFT realm.” Ownership ensures a percentage of all future comics, some for free and others at a discount of fifty percent off the advertised price. It’s like having a Web3 comic book store, and with the comic book business under jeopardy due to the loss of MARVEL and DC’s main audience, we have a rare opportunity to transfer comics from paper to digital.”
