Life Lately

I had a really busy period after my holiday to Tunisia and went completely MIA, I completely forgot and lost sight of how much I enjoy blogging and being apart of this wonderful community.

Mark and I had been talking about moving in together for such a long time and before I went on holiday we put a few requests to view a few places but nothing really came of them. Then the weekend I came back from my holiday we viewed 4 properties in 1 day. It was exhausting and by the third one we'd began to feel a little uninspired. The fourth viewing was the one! We fell in love with a little maisonette by where both our parents lived. It's so close to our families and the area we grew up in, it was in a little col-de-sac, really quiet and when we were walking around, just felt like home. We put a request to take it off the market the very next day and within a week we had our move in date. It was stressful, it was hard work but it was totally worth it.

We didn't have any furniture, the day before we moved in I went to a charity shop with Mark's Mom and brought our sofa (a total bargain, it's beautiful) a coffee table and 2 wardrobes. We didn't have a fridge for a month and we still don't have a washing machine. We are getting there though, it has been hard work and there are still boxes and bags which haven't been unpacked but it is home.

The blog had to take a back seat, otherwise all of this would have just been a lot harder. Moving in whilst working full time was a nightmare, by the time we get home from work and cooked dinner it was time for bed and that has been our routine for a long time. There just isn't enough time in the day. Weekends have been spent sorting and tidying.

I have so many plans for this plans and cannot wait to start sharing the progression with you all.
