If you follow on Instagram, you'd have seen some photos of my visit to Omu Resort in Lekki, Lagos, Nigeria. I say that like I live outside Lagos. :D Omu Resort is located in Bogije Town in Ibeju Lekki. We got lost somewhere along the way and we had to rely on Google Navigation/ Map to locate the place. Which was the first time I've relied on Google Map. What!!! Yep, I have soooo many firsts to 'achieve' 😀😁
Well, a couple of friends and I went to see what the fuzz about the place was all about. It wasn't a busy day when we got there and that settled quite nicely with me. I've been getting off my lazy butt a lot lately and gathering a few experiences with trusted, positive people. The raffia pony? was at the reception and not much else was there to boost anticipation. I'd have loved to see some bird species chirping away at the reception. Maybe a display of rare beetles or spiders or some other creep crawlies going about their business. The cages are a lot, but the inhabitants of each cage were quite few, but there were animals I was very pleased to see. There was the Lion, the Australian emu bird ( have you heard of emu oil?), hyenas, porcupines, raccoons and some other creatures
There were also the amusement rides and the golf course and pool (snooker). I believe it'd be a cool place to have a get together for either adults and kids. I learned from trial on the day that I am scared of taking the rides that turned upside down ( can't remember what they're called) Anyways, it was a good day and a lovely experience.
