Liebster Award Nomination

Happy Monday!
I was lucky to be nominated for the Liebster award by the sweet and stylish blogger, Xan Mirvil from Charming Xanadu. Thank you again Xan and everyone please stop her blog and show her some much appreciated love!  The great thing about this award is that you get to know us a little better!Lets start answering these questions... What inspired you to start blogging?I have always wanted to do a blog for years but I was always caught up with other things. I love fashion and I wanted to have a place were I could express what I found inspiring.  What is your favorite past-time?I'm going to sound like a shopaholic but I have always love going to thrift stores and see what gems I could find. It really just calms me and gets me into creative mood. If you could live anywhere in the world for 1 year where would it be? I would love to live in London.What do you count as your biggest failure and how did you overcome it?Now this one gets me thinking. It will have to be the fact that I did not finish college.I felt that I was a failure for the fact that I let my family down. I've overcome it by learning that everyone has their path  in life and at the end of the day, if you work hard and stay focus, your dreams will come true.
What is your favorite sweet treat?Almond Joy ChocolatesWhat is your dream job?My ultimate dream job will have to be a fashion buyer. I have always love that they know what merchandise will sell best in their store and the fact that they can introduce many of the trends on the runways to the masses.
Describe your style in 2 words?The two C's, comfy and colorful
What was your favorite subject to study in school and why?English. I have always enjoyed writing. And I always appreciate reading on stories written by creative people.
What is your all time fave book or film?I don't have a favorite book but I really enjoyed reading Grace by Grace Coddington. Now I am a huge movie fan so thats another tough one but I would say, it will have to be between Breakfast at Tiffany's or (500) Days of Summer. 
Who is your fashion/beauty icon and why?Audrey Hepburn. That shouldn't be shocking. I always appreicated that she always kept it simple and chic. She knew what worked for her frame. There is a reason why she's an icon not just to me but to so many. By the way, I can't wait to see her granddaughter walk the runway at Lanvin during Paris fashion week.
What is your life motto?YOLO! I'm just kidding, it will have to be "Things happen for a reason".
