Looking at the month of December for those of you with the sign of the Scales rising, local issues, relations with close relatives including brothers and sisters, communications and contacts with people, what you say and think and matters of transport and short journeys will be very important for you. The Sun in this part of your chart shines it’s light on these issues and also moving into Sagittarius early in the month Mercury will concentrate your mind on these matters too. I am sure that you will be running around doing errands around your local area and you may be forever on the go dealing with phone calls & emails – your life may be ultra busy but you won’t mind. You may get to know people in your local area including your neighbours quite a bit more during this time; generally this is a more social phase of the year for you when you will love talking and chatting with people. This transit stimulates your mind and this is a great time to start some type of new studies, as it will be bright and alert and open to learning. The New Moon on the 3rd December is an intense one and someone you meet, one message you get or something says to you may initiate a change in your life that could set you on a new path. The square from Neptune to Mercury on the 3rd might highlight confusion in your work duties or with work colleagues and you may worry overly about a health matter. The Full Moon in Gemini occurs in your 9th house and this might be a time when you are thinking about planning a trip abroad, learning something new or becoming more serious in your faith and beliefs. Matters around in-laws and your partners’ family may come into focus.
Venus and Uranus are both important in December as they shift direction during the middle of the month. Venus on the 17th begins a 6 week retrograde period in your 4th house, the part of your chart concerned with home and domestic matters, your family and matters to do with women and your mother. This change of direction suggests that your relations with your family might become a bit more difficult, minor aggravations and misunderstandings could raise tensions and it is possible that you will have to repair something in your house, redecorate or rearrange the layout so that it feels more comfortable for you. Something unfortunate could happen at home that may cost you some money to sort out. I would not initiate the sale of a house during this period as their may be financial difficulties that you may not bargain for. Uranus turns to move in direct motion on the 21st December in your 7th house of permanent partnerships and you might have felt for some time that you needed some freedom and independence in your life and now Uranus starting to move forward will cause you to rebel against any restrictions that a partner imposes on you. There is a change in direction coming for you either through new people who are entering your life or those who are already in it who are no longer relevant. This seismic shift will shake you up and this will have a reaction that will be directed onto business partners, spouses and people who either support or oppose you. You will take the bull by the horns now, and despite what these people think you will be utterly determined to do only what you want to do.
The planet Mars is the planet of action and through the month of December, it is in your home ascendant sign of Libra and thus is moving in your first house of the self. Mars because it will itself turn retrograde in a few months time will be spending 6 months in this sign and as a result you will feeling much more assertive. Mars in Libra wants equality and justice and in taking everything into your own hands you will be in a much more combative and selfish mood. You will be learning to cope by yourself now without allowing others have a chance to contribute and as a result it will call into question your relationships with other people including those you love and adore. You may seem very self interested to them during this time period and this may cause a strain on relationships of all kinds.
