LHC Allowed Pervaiz Ashraf to Contest Elections

Annulling the verdict of election tribunal, the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday allowed former prime minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf to contest elections from NA-123.

The full bench of LHC today heard appeal against the rejection of nomination papers his nomination papers. Former Governor Punjab Latif Khosa and former Law Minister represented Ashraf in the court.

The court declared former prime minister eligible and allowed him to contest election from NA-123.

Earlier, the LHC had given Asharf the conditional permission to contest election.
